Boneless Eating Championship May 8, 2010 Tim "Eater X" Janus of New York, NY defeats Ben Monson, of Twin Peaks, CA in boneless win-eating contest, after a two minute overtime eat-off. Eater X ate 7 lbs 11.5 ounces and set a world record, making him the champion of boneless wing-eating. He won $2,000 for his first place finish. A field of 15 professional and amateur, competitive eaters participated in the event which was sanctioned by Major League Eating and at Isle of Capri Casino in Boonville, MO. Other top finalists were: 2nd place – Ben Monson, 7lbs 9.5 oz, winning $1,200 3rd place, $800 – Sonya “Black Widow” Thomas, of Alexandria, Va., 5lbs 8oz, winning $800 4th place $600 – Damon Wells, of Orange, Calif., 3lbs 1.5oz, winning $600 5th place $400 – Ben “Hungry Wolf” Taylor, of Chicago, Ill., 2lbs 9.5oz, winning $400 |
