    Boonville, Missouri, may be a relatively small city, but there are still plenty of great things to do in the area. Boonville is filled with historic buildings and beautiful scenery that everyone can enjoy. While you will never have to struggle to find something to do in Boonville, these are the six best attractions in the area.

    Katy Trail
    When it comes to Boonville area attractions, there is not one more popular than Katy Trail State Park. The Katy Trail is a 240 mile rail trail that runs entirely through the state of Missouri. The MKT Bridge is probably the most iconic feature of Katy Trail, and it can only be seen in Boonville. In addition to the beautiful bike trail, there are also multiple restaurants and shops on the Katy Trail in Boonville.

    Warm Springs Ranch
    If you are a fan of the Budweiser Clydesdales, then you absolutely have to visit Warm Springs Ranch. All of the iconic horses are bred on the 300 acre farm. There are currently over 100 Clydesdales living on Warm Springs Ranch. A behind-the-scenes tour of Warm Springs Ranch allows you to see the entire breeding facility and meet the beautiful horses. Tours last roughly one and a half hours, and everyone over the age of 21 gets a free sample of Budweiser at the end of the tour.

    Thespian Hall
    Thespian Hall holds concerts and plays throughout the year in downtown Boonville. Thespian Hall first opened in 1855, which makes it the oldest theater west of the Allegheny Mountains. Thespian Hall is one of the most beautiful theaters in the United States, which helped it get on the National Register of Historic Places. If you want to see a great show while in Boonville, then Thespian Hall is the place to go.

    Hail Ridge Golf Course
    There is no better place in the Boonville area to play a great round of golf than Hail Ridge Golf Course. Hail Ridge features a beautiful 18-hole course that is open to the public every day of the week. The course was designed by Jones and Noreen Gann, and it opened in 2005. Hail Ridge features a driving range and practice green to hone your skills before you hit the course. If you end up not winning the game, you can forget about it over a drink at the 19th Hole Bar & Grill.

    Boonville Heritage Days
    In addition to the amazing permanent attractions found in Boonville, the city is also the home of several great festivals each year. Boonville Heritage Days takes place on a different summer weekend each year, and it features a parade, carnival and a fireworks display on the last day of the festival.

    Festival of the Lights

    If you are going to be in Boonville in September, then you have to check out the Festival of the Lights. The Festival of the Lights is held every Thursday during the month of September. Everyone will have a great time enjoying the best food Boonville has to offer and some fun games as well.
